D-LINE STEPS UP
Saints head coach Sean Payton challenged the front line of the Saints defense earlier in the week. Three first round draft picks play on it in Charles Grant, Sedrick Ellis, and Will Smith. Those three players responded to the challenge in a big way.
Grant had a sack and a half, Ellis had a sack and Smith had a sack and an interception.
JENKINS CONTINUES TO BE SPECIAL
Rookie Malcolm Jenkins for the third straight week made a big play on special team. Jenkins stripped the ball from punter Roscoe Parrish. The play lead to a John Carney field goal, giving Jenkins 14 direct points this season that can be attributed to him.
