The blackout was removed for the Bucs season opener against the Cowboys but the fan base isn't optimistic about the team's chances.

Byron Leftwich is your starting QB but Head Coach Raheem Morris has made it clear the future belongs to rookie Josh Freeman who had a rough preseason. Leftwich has played decent and has earned the respect of his teammates after only being with the team for a few months as they voted him as its team captain.

Tampa Bay enters with a strong running game with the likes of Cadillac Williams,Derrick Ward and Earnest Graham but starting wide receivers Antonio Bryant and former LSU star Michael Clayton have missed most of the preseason with nagging injuries.
The Bucs "D" under new coordinator Jim Bates have scrapped the "cover 2" and will play more man coverage. Second year weak side linebacker Geno Hayes will step in for Derrick Brooks. Jermaine Phillips moves back to safety from the linebacker spot and Sabby Piscatelli will fill in for Tanard Jackson who is serving a 4 game suspension.
PREDICTION: The Bucs are underdogs at home but I feel this game will be closer than people think. Tampa Bay keeps it close but not close enough...Bis D wins with a game winning field goal 20-17.
